Rosen, Charles (1927–  ) pianist, writer; born in New York City. Rosen studied piano from childhood, and music history and French literature at Princeton; he made his New York debut as a recitalist in 1951. Thereafter he maintained an active performing and teaching career, meanwhile writing books on music including the 1971 Classical Style, itself a classic.
