Roshchin, Anatolii Aleksandrovich
Born Mar. 10, 1932, in the village of Gaverdovo, Riazan’ Raion, Riazan’ Oblast. Soviet wrestler. Honored Master of Sport of the USSR (1965). Member of the CPSU since 1962. Roshchin graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Physical Culture in 1965. He has been an Olympic champion (1972), world champion (1963, 1969–70), champion of Europe (1966), and champion of the USSR (four times in the years 1962–71) in heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestling. Since 1974 he has been an instructor at the Military Institute of Physical Culture and Sports in Leningrad.
