Rosselli, Cosimo (kô`zēmō rōs-sĕl`lē), 1439–1507, Florentine painter. He was one of the artists summoned to Rome by Sixtus IV to assist in decorating the Sistine Chapel Sistine Chapel [for Sixtus IV], private chapel of the popes in Rome, one of the principal glories of the Vatican. Built (1473) under Pope Sixtus IV, it is famous for its decorations. By far the best-known achievements in the chapel are the work of Michelangelo.

. He painted The Last Supper and other subjects for it. Of his many works in Florence the most famous is The Miracle-working Chalice in Sant' Ambrogio, a work that includes many contemporary portraits. He ran a large workshop. Among his pupils were Piero di Cosimo and Fra Bartolomeo. There are paintings by Rosselli in the Louvre; the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; and in the Walters Art Gallery, Baltimore.
