Rotorua (rōtər`ə), city (1996 pop. 52,953), central North Island, New Zealand. It is a popular tourist area with nearby lakes and hot springs. The area is also important for timber and agriculture.

Lakes District Health Board has established a cancer nurse specialist--Maori health, following the establishment of its first cancer nurse specialist position in 2006, Rotorua district nurse Tirita Olsen (right), of Ngati Whakaue descent, has been appointed to the position.
Rotorua district is the home for approximately 22,000 Maori (1996).
He must also undergo an examination (and therapy if necessary) from either a psychologist or psychiatrist approved by the Nursing Council Conviction in the District Court Derecourt had been found guilty in the Rotorua District Court on February 25, 2002 of four offences pursuant to section 131 respectively of the Films, Videos and Publications Classifications Act 1993.
