Royal Tunbridge Wells

Royal Tunbridge Wells, town (1991 pop. 57,699), Kent, SE England. Mineral springs were discovered in 1606, and the town developed as a fashionable inland resort. Visitors have included many of the royal dignitaries and noted literary figures of England. The town has various light industries. Nearby Toad Rock and High Rocks are interesting sandstone formations.

I used to live in Tunbridge Wells, in Kent, or to give it its full title Royal Tunbridge Wells.
The Royal Tunbridge Wells Tea Museum is an esteemed establishment with an acting director in the person of Nigel Owen, a permanent curator named Flick Adams, and an elderly heiress named Dame Elspeth Hawker.
The trip to the South-east starts on July 30 and takes in Wisley Gardens and Royal Tunbridge Wells.
