Russkii Arkhiv
(Russian Archive), a monthly historical journal published in Moscow from 1863 to 1917. Founded by P. I. Bartenev, the journal was devoted to the publication of documentary materials and other sources pertaining to the history of Russia and Russian literature, primarily in the 18th and 19th centuries. It printed notes, memoirs, diaries, notebooks, private correspondence, newly found literary works, and official documents. Russkii arkhiv contains valuable material on the history of social thought and social movements (particularly Slavophilism), literature, and the life and mores of Russian society. It is foremost among Russian historical journals in terms of the number of published sources. There is a list of contents covering the years 1863–1908. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
