Russkii Istoricheskii Zhurnal 

(Russian Historical Journal), a journal published in Petrograd from 1917 to 1922; eight numbers appeared. Founded by the historian V. N. Be-neshevich, it became a publication of the Academy of Sciences in 1918. Editors included M. A. D’iakonov, M. D. Priselkov, and S. V. Rozhdestvenskii. By its nature, the journal was a kind of successor to the collection Historical Survey. It published primarily factual articles (surveys and reviews of historical literature), chronicles of scientific life, and obituaries of historians.
