Rybka, Eugeniusz 

Born May 6, 1898, in Radzymin, near Warsaw. Polish astronomer.

Rybka was on the staff of the Kraków Observatory from 1921 to 1923, and on the staff of the Warsaw Observatory from 1923 to 1932. He was director of the L’vov Observatory from 1932 to 1945, the Wrocław Observatory from 1945 to 1958, and the Kraków Observatory from 1958. He was vice-president of the International Astronomical Union from 1952 to 1958. Rybka’s main works are on astrophotometry, variable stars, and the history of astronomy.
