Söke

a city in western Turkey, in the vilayet of Aydin. Population, 30,000 (1970). Söke is a trade center for cotton, oilseeds, tobacco, and figs. It has a plant for the production of cement and a cotton-ginning plant. Lignite is mined in the area.
