a city in the Netherlands, at the confluence of the Aa and Dommel rivers; capital of North Brabant Province. Population, 85,500 (1975). ’S Hertogenbosch is a railroad junction and a port on the Zuid-Willemsvaart Canal. Industry includes the manufacture of machines (especially electrical equipment), textiles, chemical products, garments, leather goods, footwear, and cigars.
