Saz
an Azerbaijani plucked string instrument. It has a pear-shaped body with a long neck and usually two triple strings and one double string. The instrument is usually tuned to a fourth and a fifth. There exist large (overall length, 1,200–1,500 mm), medium-sized (800–1,000 mm), and small (500–700 mm) variants. The saz is played with a plectrum. Its use is also widespread in Dagestan and Armenia. It is used abroad in Iran, Afghanistan, and other countries of the East. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
