Saho

Saho 

a people inhabiting northeastern Ethiopia. The Saho number about 80,000 (1973 estimate). Their language, Saho, belongs to the Cushitic family. Some of the Saho have adopted the languages of neighboring peoples, the Tigrinya and Tigre. The Saho are Muslims and Monophysite Christians. Their chief occupation is nomadic cattle raising, but agriculture is also developing. In language and culture, the Saho resemble the Danakil.
