Sema 

a mountain range in the northwestern Altai, primarily on the left bank of the Katun’ River. The Semas are approximately 120 km long, with elevations reaching 2,506 m on Mount Sarlyk. They are composed primarily of metamorphic rocks. Hardwood and fir and cedar forests cover the slopes, and a rocky tundra covers the southern peaks.
