SGRAM

SGRAM
(Synchronous Graphics RAM) A type of dynamic RAM chip that is similar to the SDRAM technology, but includes enhanced graphics features for use with display adapters. Its Block Write and Mask Write functions allow the frame buffer to be cleared faster and selected pixels to be modified faster.

Features of the Inspiration 4000 include: ATI Rage Mobility 128 video graphics card with 8 MB of SGRAM and 2X AGP; SDRAM memory configurable from 64 MB to 512 MB; Bay Manager software, which allows swapping of peripherals without turning off the computer; and a wide range of removable storage devices, including 24X CD-ROM drive, DVD-ROM drive, CDRW drive and Zip 100 drive.
Other features include a Lynx 3DM 3D graphic accelerator with 8Mb SGRAM, a memory interface delivering over 1.
It offers OpenGL-capable 3D graphics, with 8 Megabytes of SGRAM graphic memory to this end.
