SMTPi

(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Identity) Proposed extensions to the SMTP protocol from IronPort Systems, Inc., San Bruno, CA (www.ironport.com) that enabled e-mail senders to be identified by IP addresses, domain names and digital certificates. IronPort became part of Cisco Systems in 2007. See SMTP and SPF.
