SQR

(database, language)
A fourth generation language for the creation of reports from databases. SQR is interpreted to dynamically generate SQL queries and format the results.

Originally a Sybase product, it was then sold to MITI, who subsequently changed their name to SQRIBE.

SQR Server supports native database access for all major DBMSs and the use of platform independent Java code.

SQR

Query and reporting software from Hyperion Solutions Corporation, Santa Clara, CA (www.hyperion.com) that provides a graphical front end for designing and generating complex, high-volume reports. As a data processing and reporting engine, SQR supports multiple output types, including HTML, PDF, XML, Postscript and Excel with one pass of the data source. Originally developed by SQRIBE Technologies, it was acquired by Brio Software in 1999, which was sold to Hyperion in 2003. In 2007, Oracle acquired Hyperion.
