Sabchota Adzhara 

(Soviet Adzharia), a Georgian-language republic newspaper of the Adzhar ASSR. Published in Batumi five days a week. Circulation, 40,000 (1975).

The first issue of Sabchota Adzhar a was published under the title Uzkebebi (News) on Mar. 18, 1921, the day of the establishment of Soviet power in Adzharia. The newspaper’s title was later changed several times; it has had its present title since 1936. In 1971 it was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor.
