Location: In southwestern Mississippi, 7 miles south of Natchez. Facilities: Visitor contact station, viewing sites, hiking trails, auto tour route. Activities: Fishing, boating, hiking, hunting. Special Features: Refuge contains 5 lakes, freshwater springs dot the landscape, and the Mississippi River is the western boundary of the refuge.... Habitats: 24,445 acres of bottomland and upland hardwoods, cleared land, cypress swamps, and fallow fields. Access: Open sunrise to sunset.
