Saint Joe State Park Location: From US Highway 67 to Highway 32 west, go 3 miles to Pimville Road in Saint Francois County. Facilities: 43 basic campsites, 53 electric campsites, showers, 25 equestrian campsites (12 basic, 13 electric), picnic sites, 6 picnic shelters, hiking/bicycling trails, equestrian trails, ATV trails, beach, boat ramp. Activities: Camping, lake fishing, swimming, hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, horseback riding, ATV riding. Special Features: Missouri's third largest state park, Saint Joe has the largest and one of the most popular off-road-vehicle areas in the Midwest, with about 2,000 acres for riding. The park is located in the old "Lead Belt" of southeast Missouri, where much of the nation's lead ore was extracted for more than a century.
