Salaverry 

a city in western Peru, in La Libertad Department, on the Pan American Highway. Railroad station. Sala-verry is a port on the Atlantic Ocean; the freight turnover was 726,000 tons in 1970. Exports include copper concentrate (from the Quiruvilca deposit), cacao leaves, sugar, cotton, rice, and fish. There is fishing in the area.
