Salmon, Robert (c.1775–c.1843) painter; born in Scotland or England. Active in Scotland and England as a painter (c. 1800), he emigrated to Boston (c. 1828) and painted marine scenes and landscapes, faithfully recording the details of the era, as seen in Boston Harbor from Constitution Wharf (1829).
