San Pablo (săn păb`lō), city (1990 pop. 25,158), Contra Costa co., W Calif., on San Pablo Bay, a suburb of Oakland; inc. 1948. One of the oldest Spanish settlements in the region, the city is a commercial and medical center with light manufacturing.
San Pablo a city in the Philippines, in the southwestern part of Luzon Island. Capital of Laguna Province. Population, 99,000 (1970, including suburbs). San Pablo is an important transportation junction. The main branch of industry is the processing of coconuts. There is cottage production of vegetable fibers.
