Location: Northeast corner of South Dakota. Facilities: Visitor center, viewing sites, observation tower, hiking trails, auto tour route. Activities: Fishing, hiking, hunting, educational programs. Special Features: Refuge claims the largest nesting colony of Franklin's gulls in the world. Habitats: 22,000 acres of marsh, open water, woodlands, grasslands, and croplands.
