SarapeumEither of two temples of ancient Egypt that were dedicated to the worship of the Greco-Egyptian god Sarapis. The original temple was built on the western bank of the Nile, near Saqqara, during the reign of Ramses II on a site originally dedicated to the worship of Osiris.
