(Soviet Uzbekistan), an Uzbek-language daily newspaper of the Uzbek SSR with republic-wide circulation. Founded in 1918, it was originally called Ishtrakiyun (Communist); after several changes of name, the newspaper acquired its present name in 1964. It is published in Tashkent.
