Location: Encompasses the river valley associated with the 128-mile Schuylkill River in southeastern Pennsylvania. Special Features: The heritage area includes three national park areas, the historic city of Philadelphia, and many early communities and canal towns throughout the corridor. The Schuylkill River is central to the story of colonization and industrialization in America.
