Schwartz, Maurice

Schwartz, Maurice (1890–1960) stage actor; born in Sedikor, Russia. An intense and impressive figure in the Yiddish theater, he came to this country in 1901. He founded and for many years headed the Yiddish Art Theatre in New York.
