Schwarz, Harvey Fisher

Schwarz, Harvey Fisher (1905–88) electrical engineer; born in Edwardsville, Ill. At General Electric, he developed the Radiola 44, an advanced-design radio receiver. In 1932 he moved to England where he designed radios and phonographs. During World War II he co-invented the Decca radio-navigation system, first used during the invasion of Normandy in 1944.
