screen protector
A transparent, plastic film that is used to cover the screens of PDAs, digital cameras and laptops to protect them from scratches and nicks. With some thin laptops, the keyboard presses against the closed lid, making permanent marks on the screen. In such cases, a sheet of leather or soft cloth can be placed over the keyboard before closing.
