Seabranch Preserve State Park Location: Near Hobe Sound in eastern Martin County, 10 miles south of Stuart. Facilities: 8 miles of hiking trails, bathroom facilities, picnic area (no drinking water). Other facilities are under development. Activities: Hiking, wildlife viewing. Special Features: Preserve provides an opportunity to experience several different natural communities in a relatively short distance. Within the space of one mile, visitors can see rare sand pine scrub, scrubby flatwoods, a baygall community, and a mangrove swamp. Protected species of plants found here include hand fern, Curtiss' milkweed, yellow bachelor button, and golden polypody.
