Seed Planting

    0.01 sec.
Seed Planting

a planting of a crop variety whose yields are used as seed material. Seed plantings are maintained by seed-growing brigades of kolkhozes and by sections of sovkhozes. Elite or first-reproduction seeds obtained from research institutions (from seed-growing nurseries) or from seed-growing farms, as well as the farm’s own seeds grown on preliminary reproduction plots, are used for seed plantings.
