Fancy Dress masquerades are performed during the Chistmas and New Year season in many towns: New Takoradi, Sekondi, Anemobo, Abandze, Saltpond, Mumford, Apam, Winneba, Agona Swedru, and Elmina, to name but a few. It addressed a need for a modern medical facility for members of the Sekondi community, and was a cooperative effort in its construction between the Ghanaian and American armed forces.
