Surface electrodes were used with an eight-channel telemetric electromyographic system to collect recordings from the vastus medialis, biceps femoris, semimembranosus, semitendinosus, and gastrocnemius medialis muscles from both legs. The investigation examined 28 semitendinosus tendons from donors, ages 15-55 years. Manual muscle testing (MMT) revealed the gluteus medius muscles to be 4+/5 and the right hamstring muscles (semimembranosus, semitendinosus, and biceps femoris) to be 4+/5 bilaterally. |
