a locality on the Mangyshlak Peninsula, in Mangyshlak Oblast, Kazakh SSR, where a 19th-century necropolis containing valuable remains of Kazakh architecture is located. Outstanding among the necropolis structures is the mausoleum of Nurbergen Kalishev (late 19th century, architect Dutbai Zhandauletov), which is a centric shell-rock construction built on a high socle, with a helmet-shaped cupola over a drum.
