(geology)
The last stage of the erosion cycle in the development of the topography of a region in which erosion has reduced the surface almost to base level and the land forms are marked by simplicity of form and subdued relief. Also known as topographic old age.

The new health and wellness center is being touted as a prototype for how retirement homes and planned communities will one day integrate services for senior adults who are living longer and want more independence.
Reflecting on the numbers of young children and senior adults who are now, or those who could potentially be, involved in intergenerational programs and the lack of empirical research, there appears to be a need for further investigation into program benefits.
Since the Senior Center programs require that participants be fully independent, an increasing number of senior adults were finding they had very limited opportunities to meet and socialize with their peers or participate in recreation or fitness activities.
