Seralin, Mukhamedzhan 

Born 1872 in Karabalyk, now Komsomolets Raion, Kustanai Oblast; died there August 1929. Soviet Kazakh writer and journalist. Member of the CPSU from 1919.

Seralin is the author of the historical narrative poem Topzhargan (1900) and the narrative poem Gul’kashima (1903), which deals with the tragic love of a young man and a young woman who fall victim to the old customs. From 1911 to 1915, Seralin published the journal Aikap in Troitsk. His short stories, verses, and articles were published in this journal and in other publications. From 1923 to 1926, Seralin was the editor of the newspaper Aul.
