Sernovodsk

 

an urban-type settlement in Sergievsk Raion, Kuibyshev Oblast, RSFSR. Located near the Sernye Vody I railroad station, on the Krotovka-Sernye Vody II branch line, Sernovodsk is 2 km from the Kuibyshev-Ufa highway and 123 km northeast of Kuibyshev, with which it is connected by a bus line. Sernovodsk has a logging and timber distribution establishment. The Sergievskie Mineral’nye Vody resort is located in Sernovodsk.


Sernovodsk

 

a balneological health resort in Ordzhonikid-zevskii Raion, Chechen-Ingush ASSR, 50 km west of Groznyi. The resort is situated on the southern slope of the Sunzha Range. Summers are very warm, with an average July temperature of 23°C, and winters are mild, with an average January temperature of — 4°C. Annual precipitation totals 500 mm.
