Sesame Workshop sought input from the nonprofit Military Child Education Coalition and other child-development, psychology and military experts, and it secured funding from Wal-Mart and the New York State Office of Mental Health to create the package, which deals with three phases military families go through: pre-deployment, deployment and homecoming.
One of the museum exhibits, a traveling interactive exhibit on the body and health aimed at children and organized by the Sesame Workshop (the non-profit behind "Sesame Street"), opens this month at the Arizona Science Center.
Sandra Kilpatrick Jordan, formerly of Sesame Workshop, will join the NAMM staffas manager of programs and strategic partnerships, expanding on her previous consulting position with NAMM of securing new relationships for the Music Education Coalition and SupportMusic.
