Sète 

a city and port in southern France, on the Mediterranean, Hérault Department. Population, 41,000 (1968). Industry includes the production of wine, food, and clothing and the manufacture of acids and phosphorous fertilizers. An oil refinery is located in Frontignan, in the suburb of Sète.
