Setu

Setu 

an ethnographic group of Estonians living in the southeast of the Estonian SSR and in Pechory Raion, Pskov Oblast, RSFSR. The language of the Setu is a variety of the Võru southern Estonian dialect. Believers among the Setu belong to the Orthodox faith. There is a strong Russian influence in the material and spiritual culture of the Setu, as well as in the group’s language.
