Severi

a dynasty of Roman emperors that ruled from A.D. 193 to 235. The Severi included Septimius Severus (ruled 193–211), Caracalla (211–217), Geta (211–212), Heliogabalus (Elagabalus: 218–222), and Alexander Severus (222–235). The dynasty created a military and bureaucratic monarchy that defended the interests of large groups of slaveholders. In their policies, the Severi, with the exception of Alexander Severus, were hostile to the Senate.
