Seydisfjordur

Seyđisfjörđur 

a city and port on the eastern coast of Iceland, at the head of Seydis Fjord. Population, 930 (1974). The city is a center for the fishing and fish-canning industries. During World War II, convoys of Allied ships bound for Murmansk were organized in Seyđisfjörđur.

Three Allied forces agents, named Miller, Hoan and Frick, were having dinner in their hotel in Seydisfjordur, Iceland, on the evening of May 5, 1944, when they got wind of the scheme.
14-NIGHT Iceland cruise on Fred Olsen's Braemar, leaving Dover on July 4, calling at Invergordon, Seydisfjordur, Akureyri, Reykjavik, Torshavn and Dublin.
Today he set off on a mammoth cycle ride from Seydisfjordur in Iceland down through the UK and mainland Europe to Casablanca in Morocco.
