Shortandy

an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Shortandy Raion, Tselinograd Oblast, Kazakh SSR. Shortandy has a railroad station on the Petropavlovsk-Tselinograd line, 67 km northwest of Tselinograd. A furniture factory, a butter factory, a food-processing combine, and a grain elevator are located in the settlement.
