Shubrick, William Branford

Shubrick, William Branford (1790–1874) naval officer; born on Bull's Island, S.C. He served as a naval lieutenant during the War of 1812 and on the Pacific coast during the Mexican War. He refused to support the Confederate cause and retired in 1861.
