Shuvalov, Pavel Petrovich
Born 1847; died 1902. Reactionary Russian political figure. Guards colonel and aide-decamp. Count. Shuvalov was a member of the group close to Alexander II that defended the privileges of the upper nobility. A founding leader of the Sviashchennaia Druzhina (Holy Host), Shuvalov carried on negotiations, on behalf of the fictional Zemstvo League, with the People’s Will members M. N. Oshanina and L. A.
