Activities: Camping, fishing, boating, canoeing, sailing, whitewater rafting, swimming, water-skiing, windsurfing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, OHV riding, cross-country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, dog sledding, snow playing. Special Features: Sierra Vista Scenic Byway, a 100-mile open loop through the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range; five designated wilderness areas: Ansel Adams, Dinkey Lake, John Muir, Kaiser, and Monarch; Globe Rock, an improbably large granite sphere perched precariously, with the appearance that it will roll off at any time.
