Sierra de Guadarrama

Sierra de Guadarrama 

a mountain range in Spain. The Sierra de Guadarrama, part of the Cordillera Carpeto-Vetónica, measures approximately 150 km in length and rises to elevations of 2,430 m. It consists of several flat-topped massifs with steep slopes and is composed mainly of crystalline rocks. The slopes are covered with pine forests, shrub thickets, and meadows.
