(inorganic chemistry)
Ag2O An odorless, dark-brown powder with a metallic taste; soluble in nitric acid and ammonium hydroxide, insoluble in alcohol; decomposes above 300°C; used in medicine and in glass polishing and coloring, as a catalyst, and to purify drinking water.
