Sinegorsk

 

(formerly Kavakami), an urban-type settlement in Sakhalin Oblast, RSFSR, under the jurisdiction of the Iu-zhno-Sakhalinsk city soviet. Terminus of a branch of the Iuzhno-Sakhalinsk-Pobedino railroad line. Coal is mined in the area. The Sinegorsk Mineral Springs health resort is located near Sinegorsk.
