Singer, June Kurlander (1918– ) psychologist; born in Cleveland, Ohio. She studied at Northwestern University and married rabbi and psychoanalyst Richard E. Singer in 1939. Twenty years later, she did graduate work in psychology at the Jung Institute and conducted a private practice in psychology (from 1962). She was associated with the Virginia Frank Child Development Center in Chicago and wrote several books on Jungian psychology, including Androgyny: Toward a New Theory of Sexuality (1976).
